So truck would crank no start, or would start then die immediately. Did some trouble shooting only codes that came up where useless P1603, P1604, and P1605. The fuel pcm came up as the issue after going through the trouble shooting steps. Here is a how to to replace it.

1.Drop the skid plate for the gas tank 5 12mm
2. Drop the gas tank by removing safety cotter pins and metal dowels. Drop it enough to get to the inner frame rail above the rear control arm.
3.Use a rachet remove the 12mm bolt that holds the pcm in place and remove old pcm. The plug is one of those weird ones with the gray flip tab on top.
4. Install is reverse of removal.

Thanks for posting

For the record the vast majority of these getting posted here had lots of corrosion. In case that helps people troubleshooting in the future.

Yah no problem just giving back to everyone one else who has helped on the forum. Thats a huge issue because there is no way to wash the salt off due to it being behind the gas tank.

I also noticed lexus did a revision of the part it looks like the top of the new one is completely flat.

These are the codes that will pop up when this issue happens pulled then from my scan readers history. P1603, P1604, and P1605
