Yes, I know it's hard to get to. Yes.....I bought one about 3 years ago and just installed it today.

After cutting open the fuel filter on my LX470 (I recently replaced the fuel filter) and seeing what was in there, I was prompted to replace the one on my 80 Series.

The filter might still be working and it might look great on the OUTSIDE....but its a good idea to replace them every few years....(or right away if you suspect a fuel contamination event)

From my 80 Series:

Don't forget to 'slot' the mounting bracket nearest the engine:

The filter on the Land Cruiser was pretty bad, but not as bad the one on the LX470:

It looked great from the outside:

Don't 'put it off' guys, we owe our vehicles good service.

Wow, thanks for posting! Glad I did mine.

Just replaced two filters last month...

How many miles were on the 80 series filter? Where do you normally buy your gas?

One of mine for sure... over 80,000 miles and the truck was running fine.
