Any way to adjust the fuel door? Mine sits out 1/8" or so from flush with the body. I searched, but no dice.

Thanks!

I actually had to replace mine on my 2011, the hinge was cracked and the door was falling off. The new one fit perfectly flat. It wasn't as expensive as you'd think, I think around $40, then it cost me $50 to have it painted Super White. They are held on with a special pop rivet that has a plastic sheath over it so there is no metal-on-metal contact. Old vs new:

It wasn't hard to do, I did pull out the inner plastic in the cargo area to catch the end of the old rivet after I drilled the head off. The rivets are soft aluminum so they drill really easily.

To try to answer your question, I don't see any way to adjust the hinge. It sounds like maybe someone either opened it too far or shut it on something and it bent the hinge.

In the past one has been able to put a little tension on the closing mechanism to softly "bend" back in place. Otherwise you can pull the snap ring around the rubber housing for fuel filler and remove screw and nuts that way.

Yikes - guess it doesn't sound too bad, but not the answer I was hoping for.

If only we knew each other and you could show me what you mean when you were in town next :D

They say some vacation in Charleston, sounds like a good road trip and might still be cheaper than a replacement door and spot spray....
