Good luck with the sale. Are you getting another 4x4?

Oh bummer! It was fun wheeling with you Eric, hope you don't disappear for good. Good luck with the family and the sale!

Eric,
I hope you are replacing it with a 95' or newer 80, because you know they are a great "family" vehicle.

Thanks guys. I will definately be looking for another 4wd Toyota. I would like to get some bills paid off and lay low for a while. Maybe after taxes next year I'll pick up something else.

My goals have changed a bit. Instead of day trips several times a year to the local mountains or deserts, I want something that can reach out farther, possibly to Moab, Ouray, Grand Canyon, Nor Cal, etc. This means something more stock, either another 80, 100 or possible a 4runner or tacoma.

I would love to have another 80 and would seriously consider trading mine for a stock lower mileage 95-97 80-series. I am open to options :meh:

It's been a fun few years with you guys, and I hope it will continue!

Eric,
You are always welcome to ride shotgun if you like. :D

I take my 80 on several 1000 mile trips every year. I find that the 80 is a great long range vehicle.

But I don't have kids.

I drove 2k miles in a few weeks this summer with two kids and my wife in the 80. It was awesome!

good luck

If I had a wand to wave I would make the 80 come manual as an option, as opposed to auto and somehow get a little better gas mileage..So it makes a 4runner with a 5spd and moderate lift and a rear locker at least a fairly good compromise.. Im sure Eric you can find some other Toyota 4x4 that will fit the bill. As you know I am always in search of the next Toyota.. notice my sig.

Well, I watched her drive away today. The new owner is heading to Colorado this week. Brought a tear to my eye. :frown:

Congrats on the sale. I looked at your ad several times here on Mud and on Expo while I was waiting for our insurance claim. Good luck on your quest for the 4Runner.
