Front wiper motor alternative.

I won't replace until I have reason to, but this is for @Kernal comparing the new wiper motor with an og unit from my '97 as it sits under hood today. It looks about right.

Take the two screws out that hold the round section of the motor off and check the magnets. One of the magnets coming off is usually the main issue. The motor itself is very simple.

Does the round section of the motor come completely off ? I removed the two screws but I’m feeling resistance when I try to remove the round section. Thanks

When you pull the screws out, there may be some resistance bc the magnets inside are pretty strong. If one has come loose then that may be the cause. There is some resistance in there.

Well shoots, both magnets secure. The hunt for the cause of slow/weak wipers continues.

My motor's inside was in perfect condition. I cleaned it with electrical cleaner and greased it. My issue was actually the wiper "transmission" that snapped. When I replaced that they got better and a bit faster but they are nothing like my 04 GX470 or my 14 4runner. At some point I will get a new motor.
