I havent had any luck finding a front winch tray... I can find "universal" ones, but none specifically that mount to a 460.

Anyone happen to know where to find one or who makes one?

Thanks in advance

I second LFD on quality!

They look to have two options.

I have there rear bumper, excellent craftsmanship.

You could also look into mounting a hidden receiver up front. Then you can have a receiver mounted winch that can be used both front and rear.
Mounting a 2" receiver may be more discrete if that's the look you're going for. Also makes for a great recovery point! Just a thought.

Awesome! Thank you. I was hoping for something in the $300 range but this might have to do.

I do like the idea of a swappable winch, and I have thought about it. The ability to easily remove your winch and being able to pull from behind is nice. A few things I dont like about the reciever system is how far the winch sticks out front or rear, and when you're not using it ( which is most of the time), it has to be stored on or in the vehicle. A winch mounted in the bumper or on the outside of the vehicle where it needs to be used is more appealing to me. It doesnt stick out as much, protected while in use, doesnt take up space inside when not in use, might be slightly lighter overall? ready to go/no need to install and hookup.

It looks like SDHQ is working on one.

I do not leave it on all the time unless I am in snowy weather.

Just remember it's on there when pulling into parking spaces against a wall or parallel parkingo_O!!

Has anyone purchased and installed one of LFDs Hidden Winch on a 2021+ grill?

I prefer to go this route instead of a come-along.

The one pictured on their website appears to be a 2019+, but the grills look very similar to the 2021 grill, at least where the winch comes through.

Thanks. Yeah I seen that and you’re right, looks like a newer grill. Was just curious of pics underneath and how you mount it and how much space is available for a winch.

reviving this thread in hopes of seeing if anyone has done the hidden winch mount on the 19+. Both LFD and HK off-road seem to be workable, and specifically built for the GX460, so that's good. There is also the Bud Built option, which according to some is the same as the 4th gen 4Runner, though no accounts of compatibly with KDSS that I've read. I like that the Bud Built one incorporates the factory crash bar under the bumper whereas both the LFD and HK effectively "replace" it. Anyhow, we'll see where it goes...

That one looks like it would allow recovery points
If you're referring to the recovery point tab sticking out on the R, that's their Prado reco points, which actually mount to the frame, route through the radiator/ radiator support gap, and stick out in front. I've got those. TBH, I've always been a little sus on if they'll hold the 6K LB they're rated at. I'd only use mine for light reco. If I were suctioned, I think I'd be trying to get a strap around an LCA. Looks like they stopped selling them in any event.

I don't plan on using whatever I find for a winch anyhow. What I NEED is a front receiver hitch and could easily fab up a receiver that bolts to that tray and is flush with the grill, in keeping with a minimalist vibe. I haul 20' lengths of steel frequently and use the front hitch for a "goal post" up front to help support the length. The rest is supported by roof rack. I don't want a more traditional front receiver way below in the front to crush approach angles, and made even worse after a front bumper chop.

Add to that that if done properly, since those hidden winch mounts are supposed to support the weight of the vehicle, I could use said receiver hitch for a recovery point of sorts and it should support the same weight.
