Creating this thread for posterity as there wasn't a good reference between these front coilover spacer options: 1. ~10mm OEM coilover spacer 2. 13mm E&E coilover spacer

NOTE: Going taller than these options will require extended shock top hat studs. There's a limit of about 20mm before the shock body becomes the limiting bump stop, something that it was never designed to do which will turn it into a pretzel if the frame bump stops are not extended.

Often used as a leveling spacer or mild lift while keeping the suspension geometry in its sweet spot.

Both are relevant to LC and LX, but will do different things. LC will see lift, LXs will increase AHC hydraulic pressure preload, or compensate to bring pressure back to stock for a sensor lift to maintain payload capacity. Both will have a nice knock on effect of increased front suspension travel (~9" to 10") by extending max droop travel (+1"). For LXs, this is part of the recipe for Long Trave AHC.

1. OEM front shock spacer - 43136-60020

.38" / ~10mm spacer for just under 1" of lift

2. E&E coilover spacer ( from the mastermind of @turbo8 )

13mm spacer for ~1.25" lift

Question for you guys. Im currently running a set of coilovers up front that have been pre-set to 1.7" height increase over stock. They have another adjustible perch option at 2.5". I also have a new set of spring spacers not currently installed sitting on the shelf.

I would like to lift the vehicle a little more to ~2.5". Would I be better off re-adjusting the height directly on the shock or adding the factory Toyota spring spacers to increase the vehicle height? I will be installing a new set of OME UCAs at the same time.

Ah, spacers like this should only be used with stock shocks. Aftermarket shocks usually have a longer shock body and stroke. Using a spacer in combination with aftermarket is risky on two fronts: 1. Makes the shock body too tall that it becomes the bump limiter 2. Adds too much droop travel putting the CV at risk of overextension or making it weak in droop.

Agreed on all of this.
