I've seen several threads on losing the front seat heater knobs, but I didn't find any related to the switch going bad. This morning, my 09 LC passenger side switch had the orange light indicating it was on. I went to turn it off, and to my surprise, it was already in the off position. Has anyone experienced this? I saw a new switch on ebay for about $40 that looks exactly like the OEM switch, so I'll probably give that a shot if the problem doesn't correct itself.

My 09 is behaving the same. It seems to be working properly, just the light is malfunctioning.

I would be very interested how the switch from eBay works out.

Recently, my wife vacuumed one of the knobs off of my switch. I swapped the knob to turn off that heater and mine was intermittently doing the same thing. I ordered the switch from ebay, but haven't installed it yet. I suspect it will work fine, and if I remember I'll post here the result.

I ordered the ebay part because I was concerned the switch might drain my battery, but that hasn't been an issue. The light has since gone off on it's own.

I haven't received the ebay switch, but I'll post an update after I try it out. I'll probably keep it as a backup and use the OEM until it gives me more trouble.

A number of threads around about strange electrical issues caused by leaky sunroofs or poorly fitted replacement windscreens. Check the driver and passenger side foot wells for damp/wet areas.

Thank you for the heads up!

Like the OP, just hopped in my truck and noticed the passenger side seat heater LED was lit. Switch was off, turn off the truck, light stayed lit. Quick search of the forum lead me here. Sure enough the passenger footwell was wet (rain this morning). Head to the sunroof and see standing water on the passenger side. A little acorn sort of thing was blocking the drain! As I tried to push it to the side, it slid further into the drain. Without wanting to push it too far in, I was able to get my portable shopvac and suck it out of the drain tube.

For others searching, I included my standing water on the passenger side and what the dry, drivers side drain looks like. The drain is the hole to the right of the spring.

Thanks again!
