Front differential parts - being told none available nationwide?

Have a clunk/ clicking sound that has been narrowed down to front differential. Local well respected shop here says has tried multiple vendors and no parts are available to rebuild. Only way is to buy a new unit from Toyota for 3800 ... just over 5k with install.

Had a hell of a time finding a transmission rebuild kit year and a half ago. Questioning where to keep this thing now.

Any advice for where to look for front diff parts? or used unit ?

CruiserTeq is showing a rebuild kit. Only a couple hundred bucks plus labor isn't terrible

I'm pretty sure there are rebuild kits and used options out there. Id keep on looking and try to avoid a new unit. Shop probably reached out to two different places, didn't find anything and called it a day lol

Also consider checking FB marketplace and other classifieds for people parting out 100 series.

I recently got one from cruiserteq... It has pinion bearing and carrier bearings and associated shims. Not sure what all you need, but they should have at least that. If you can't find it and want to know the bearing numbers or any details on stuff let me know and I can let you know. These can generally be found separately online without much trouble.

Have you tried yourself, searching Partsouq (https://partsouq.com/) they are in Dubai and carry lots of parts usually at a reasonable price.

Or try looking up the part numbers yourself on Google. There are a large number of Toyota dealerships selling parts in USA.

Partsouq has a good exploded view of the part no and then you can search for which parts you need to buy.
