Hey everyone. I’m planning to trim my front bumper soon. I know there has been threads about it. Can someone link me to one or two good ones. Or does anyone have pics they can post. I would like to trim it as high as possible so any info would be great. Thanks

There is a good youtube video that shows all of the required screws that need removed (don't have a link atm). After that, start near the fenders and pull...

I'm curious as well. I can't find the video. This is the type of trim I'm thinking about doing.

I would like the same clearance. Maybe even a little more in the middle front. I am thinking of securing it the skin to the actual bumper as well if trimming it causes problems at higher speed. I’m worried it’s gonna vibrate or flap

Been running trimmed bumper for 2 years with no problem. The front are rigid enough and does not flap around.

Mask with a masking tape
I use 1" aluminum strip as a ruler.
Use cut off wheel to cut it off.

Thank you. I’m doing mine soon. I live the look so much more and the clearance is much better. Love the lights behind the grills also

Is the radiator exposed with the trim you did?
Also do you have a tire carrier, since KY doesn't require a plate on the front? I'm from Warren! Thanks

I use OEM splash guard below bumper tied to the skid plate. It really help to deflect mud from splashing onto the radiator.

I don't have tire carrier. My spare is stil in the original location. The KY plates are just there to hide my actual plates😁😅. I am in Ohio. They just passes no front Plated law last July but I still use the plate to protect my synthetic lines from UV rays.

I’m going to be doing this to my front and rear bumpers, I just banged them up good on a recent trip.

Did anyone ever locate a good video walkthrough or is it literally just tape, level and cut?

Thanks for the help, I’m nervous about cutting away at the plastic and want it to look good.

I was going to go for the common seam, but ended up about an inch under the seam in the bumper. I didn't want to expose the styrofoam or the actual bumper beam.
I taped across and used angle grinder and cutoff wheel. You can smooth the shavings with a heat gun.
I removed screws from front mounts of fender liner and pulled them forward then re-screwed them on, with some heat gun massaging in passenger side.

it's not super perfect, but it's an easy mod... I certainly overthought it for too long!
