Having done this job myself, I think one of the very best tips is this. The day before you're planning to start, get several cans of the best degreaser foaming stuff you can find and head to the nearest pressure washer car wash wearing old clothes and with towels on the driver's seat. Spray cleaner on the entire knuckle/hub area, let soak and spray off, then repeat until you can't see any more grease and crud. Be mindful you can spray too hard/close on things, of course. You'll thank yourself for this well spent half hour when the next day you're working with just a crevice or two of dried on grease and the rest of the work area is bare metal.
Those of you in the rust belt could also hit things after it dries with a shot of PB Blaster before parking it for the night.
