MEMCruiser, nothing wrong with your battery. You'll likely need to run larger cable to the back. Small project.

As with what hOSER SAID.

bUT VOLTAGE CHECKS with no load are useless.
I know WHY ??

Course time @ Electronic school or ?

Get an old head light , make a plug so it can get the same power as the fridge and in the same spot , see if it is as bright after 5 mins as at the battery , Bet NOT , so the heavy power can't get to the fridge when it requires it.

Time to really put in Great AUX wiring .

You only need to learn it once , Kinda like a bike.

VT, CDN as in Canada !

Purchased a waeco and I can not get it to work in my truck for more than a few hours.
It works on AC power all day long but in the truck in DC not so much. Not sure if I have a
low voltage problem or not. The truck starts every time so not sure. The build quality is head
and shoulders above edgestar.

Chances are you need to upgrade your electrical in the truck. Most cig outlets are not rated for the draw a fridge might pull.

I ran a number 10 (fused) wire from the battery to a wiring block near to where the the fridge will live. Upgraded the stock 12 volt outlet to a marine grade outlet and ran new 12 gage wires to the wiring block 12 to 18 inches away. Don't forget your ground wire needs to be as good as your new incoming wires.

The fridge is now very happy!!
