these are new, except for a few I just tossed in the freezer to pre freeze for people
these are jell filled containers (some are liquid filled) that you freeze and then toss into coolers, lunch bags etc.

Steve, would you consider donating some to a rural clinic in Guatemala that my wife works at? We could pick them up when we're in Vancouver again.

This is what the clinic looks like, with the 'Cruiser in front of course!!

Thanks Steve!!

I'll be in Vancouver off and on over the fall (open heart surgery) and then we're back to Guatemala in January. I'll give you a ring or stop by when we're there.

What else could they use? I just saw a 1 ton full of hospital beds going to the scrap yard. The hospitals junk so much equipment it's not funny. Can't see why some of them wouldn't donate it to the clinic.

Probably not hospital beds as it is like a doctors office not a hospital but I'll check with the folks who run the clinic. My wife works there but doesn't actually run it.

One of the problems we recently ran into is that the Guatemalan government decided they could make some extra coin charging duty on donated items!?!? Don't worry, if we need it we'd cover the duty but it's a STUPID idea on the part of the government and won't help in the donation of excess goods not to mention using donations to pay the governemnt to receive other donations.

p.s. Steve, I should be around sometime in September (I'm in Cranbrook right now).

see you then
