Free map / guidance / GPS app: Navfree

been using Navfree for a while now. Nice thing is that unlike Google maps it does not need a data connection to do guidance. And you can preload all the maps you need. All free. Had a go with it recently overseas. Worked out beautifully on my smartphone. Guidance was excellent down to the street level even in obscure part of the country. Recalc very fast and smooth too.
I also use the USA version quite a bit. Excellent too.

I should have stated explicitly that I use it with Android. Don't know if there are other versions.
