Norm let us know about a course based in Chilliwack in his https://forum.ih8mud.com/ca-bc-coastal-cruisers/526941-north-van-ham-course.html thread. Rather than totally hijack his thread on the North Shore course, I though I should post the BC4x4 thread link here Why You Need a Ham (VHF) Radio

I hope we can get enough people together so the Chilliwack club course can be held one weekend in November. It is a pretty clear month for me, before work gets busy for the next four months. Meaning I'll be working weekends and evenings. So, if you are interested, visit the BC4x4 thread and let the organizer know.

I already have. Looking forward to getting this done and out of the way.

I cross posted this to OLC to see if we can get a few from there as well.

Mat ... head to Burnaby Radio to see Bill. The Icom 2200H is a decent radio. Ask him to "open" it. ;)

What does somthing like that go for? I just have a older Kenwood TC 700 something single band. Antennas at the moment are making my head spin. Really looking forward to this course, got my level 2 already so it's the last on the list till I do a Bill Burke class.

I have their self-study book, and was potentially planning an open-b:censor:k exam with them.

Good to know they still offer it. I have the Surrey club's course material and have downloaded the exam program from the RAC web site: ExHAMiner. Hopefully, I can find time over Christmas to study and perhaps go in and do the exam.

Registered too.
