Not that I'm looking for any help (although maybe shipping of some shrooms or maybe a shrink or two wouldn't hurt).
Had this absolute brainfuck of discovery on my gf's recent Hilux purchase when replacing the front struts for OMEs...
Couldn't figure out why the upper control arm hit the coils when trying to re-assemble the whole thing... Found out, much to my own surprise. The lower control arm structure had been modified and moved down by 50mm and not the upper part, causing the upper control arm to hit the coil before the whole assembly could be bolted together...
It's quite subtle, but it's there if you look very closely to the lower part of the structure. Not sure what madness I'm dealing with, but next step is a lot of measurements and then the blue key and move the upper control arm's structure down by 50mm... Fun times.
The weird thing is, we do this stuff (on both the upper and lower arm) for 38+ modifications, but on a relatively stock 31" truck I just never expected this to be a thing...
