Does jumping Fp-B+ bypass everything (relays, etc) that can keep the fuel pump from running? Aside from bad ground, bad connection at the pump, or bad pump.

1993 that has been sitting for three or four years has a crank no start. I pulled the return hose from the fuel pressure regulator, and I’m getting nothing. I do not hear the pump run when I turn the ignition on, both jumped and not. What should I look into next?

Thanks for the help.

Forgot to add earlier that the fuel gauge does not move at all when key is switched into the on position. I put ~6 gallons of fresh gas in yesterday. Tank was dry.
Also, it will fire briefly off of starting fluid.

Yes. With the key in the ON position with pins FP (1) and B+ (12) jumped in the diagnostic connector on the firewall, the FP should run.
This assumes that pin 12 is getting +12 from the EFI relay.

I would pull the FP assembly out of the tank and put eyes on it since it has been sitting for so long.
Please download the Toyota FSM and EWD from the resources section, as all the information on every system is available to you.

Thank you. I had the FSM downloaded to another computer, but it’s not in use right now.

I thought that was the case that it should run. I am getting +12 at the B+. I just wanted to check everything that I could access easily before pulling the seats and carpet.

Another thing to check that is literally low hanging fruit is connector BO1 which lives under the body by the left C-pillar. All FP electric goes through that and it is exposed to the elements.

I’ll check that tomorrow. So it is after the diagnostic port? Even though I’ve got power at the diagnostic, this may still be keeping it from the fuel pump?

Do I check a particular pin on the BO1?

Again, this is all in the FSM and EWD which can be downloaded for free-fer-nothin'.
