Hmmm...Jim is creating/selling FJ25 derivatives globaly now...we are mortgaging our future...I also blame Jim. Where's my bailout?:D

The world .. it is a changing .... I love Globalisation - in fact there are demonstrators at the door now.

I think at the rate Mike is trading parts the FJ25 Classifieds might need a temporary name change to "Foxfab's Garage Sale". :D

Cheers Dobster

Mike, if you need pieces of one of these frames instead of makeing something let me know. ONe is bad in the front the other the rear.

Screw the 22re. Drop that 350 in.

Ah my feeble minded lead footed friend, wheeling is about finess, not big balls :D I'm going for light and nimble. The 350 is for sale though if you wanna pull out that 1FZ-FE. Its a 4 bolt block :D

*Yawn*

instead of a tray back what about an m416 trailer as the bed. this mock up I took the front 1.5' off , making the bed now 4.5' long by 4' wide . could be interesting.

u have too much time on your hands at work.

Progress, I think I'll have the bobcat running by tomorrow. I pulled the carb apart and it was all gelled up. lots of air pressure and carb cleaner and I think I got it all out. Its mostly back together. I'll finish it tomorrow and it should run. Then I can start shuffling parts around the yard. First up, pull the F120 and put it in storage. then the frame will go in for stripping and primer.

Progress:
Bobcat runs. I lifted the frame into the garage with it. I took off the rear cross member which was rotted, both shock towers, the steering box mount, and the rear leaf spring mounts. I also started wire wheeling the frame. I also sprayed the entire frame with muriatic acid.

Tomorrow, the front spring mounts will come off and I can start fixing the one thin area on the frame. I'm also going to box the back part of the frame.

First 25 with low range?

Nope a few have gone thru ebay with a three speed and two speed transfer case. One yellow and one orange. One also had a FJ40 bib. Don't forget TLC has done a couple FJ25s over the years. Maybe a icon or two titled as FJ25s

Now a trail only FJ25 that may be a first. I believe Mike has to big of a lead from Jim to catch up. Nobody has heard from Phil lately:hhmm:

I think Jims body is further along than mine.

Next up is ordering springs. I'm going with 4" lift mini truck springs from either Marlin or All Pro unless someone convinces me otherwise. I might have to pull a leaf or two to drop it down. Why mini springs, trying to save weight anywhere I can.

:hhmm: Never thought about that. Compared to the originals that'd be a pretty big savings. Plus you can have your own stack of stock 25 springs that'll never be needed.

My stock is high in the FJ25 spring department. I'll now have two extra sets to get in my way. The ones on #6 have add a leafs or something in them. There are two rather thick leaves that dont look stock.

So Jim is building a trail only rig as well? Is he doing similar specs?
