'89 FJ62 For Sale - - Not Mine . . .

Hey all,

My mechanics at Mostly Toyotas called and said they have a customer selling his 62. Here is what I know:

Two tone (gold/silver); 198K; Needs front pads and flush; Needs tires; some bulbs; cracked windshield; usual tear in front seat; looks like it has been wheeled; generally, needs a good clean up . . . .

His asking price: $4500. See pictures for telephone #.

Of course, I have no interest in it, just reporting what I find.

I have a few things I need to get sell. Wife is a little agrivated at 4 + sets of tires in the yard.

I still have the parts 60 as well.

4 - 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's (these are on stock f150 rims and I will not seperate.) 60%+ - $275

4 - stock fj62 chrome rims (minor rust) 15x6.5 worn 31x10.5x15 BFG MT's - $75

1 - Stock fj62 chrome rim (spare) with worn 31x10.5 BFG AT - $20 (free with set purchase.)

4 - FJ60 chrome rims with some rust 30x9.5 Mich. LTX (75% + tread) - $200

4 - Stock 15" Alloy 97 4runner rims (Look kinda like a swirl design.) With worn Sidewinder 31x10.5 AT's (Knock off of BFG AT's). - $125

4 - 33x12.5x15 BFG MT's New style 2 30% 2- 60% These do have some trail scars, but hold air fine. (I will have to measure to get exact %.) $275
- These are mounted on my 62 now and I will sell the rims for another $225 if I can get a good deal on some 35's or 36's w/rims

2 - 33x12.5x15 BFG MT's (old style) I was going to use them as spares but they have decent tread. $50 each.

4 - Vogue 225/60/16 tires - $250

2 - Slam Specialties (Air Ride bags) $125 firm

1 - Gallon PPG Single stage Toyota Beige

1 - Quart tint for beadliner Toyota Beige (This is to be used with bedliner, but was specifically purchased to use with the same set-up that Matt in the 45 forum did his LV undercoating.)

2 - Air Zenith OBA compressors (recently rebuilt and are rebuildable) - $175 each

1 - MSD 6al box - $125

1 - Hot Hues - Bombay Blue Paint and clear - $250

1 - Yota Mini Booster and MC (I have heard these work great in a 40?)

1- FJ60 Booster and MC

1 - FJ62 MC

Parts for Chevy straight 6-
1 - Offenhouser 4 barrel intake and Holley 500cfm - $250
1 - MSD billet distributor $175 (was over $350 new)
1 - Flex fan - $25

Household stuff:

51" Pioneer CRT TV this TV was over $4K when new. Wife says it needs to go. I use this TV daily and it works great, just to big for our living room. - $350

After the TV sells I will have my stereo avail. It is mostly Pioneer as well and has been great, I just need somethign smaller. I will make a package deal on everything & the TV.

I was just inherited a ton of old records. I am sure several are worth something. If you collect or are interested let me know.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
$3,300 asking = KBB 'fair' value - listed as 'fair' due to issues listed below
Around 179,000 miles or so
All time 4wd hi w/ 4 lo option
Selling to fund another potential vehicle purchase - even though its a Heep it has been good to me and I have had a hard time deciding to sell
PM with questions - I don't want to post my cell on a public forum

Good

• Goodyear Wrangler tires in good shape
• Interior and exterior pretty clean
• New front rotors and pads
• Has received regular maintenance
• v8 w/ lotsa power
• Tranny serviced - several seals replaced - new fluid
• Southern truck most of its life
• Motor is solid and strong
• Power locks, power windows, cruise control, etc etc
• 4wd proved itself very capable in MI snow
• Never been off road
• Has been either my or my wife's DD for about 4 years

Bad

• AC has to be charged in the summer about once every two months to keep very cold air blowing - other wise after about two months the cold AC turns to cool AC
• v8 w/ lotsa power gets about 15-16 mpg city driving and I've eeked out 20 mpg on highway trips before
• Tranny has a slight slip at times - have to be looking for it to notice - haven't looked into a fix because the slip isn't bad enough to bother me
• Spent two winters in MI - some underbody surface rust but not bad
• CD/radio player display does not work, new radio/CD player = ~$200 + install
• Rear lift gate sometimes does not always stay open - don't know price of repair - haven't bothered to look as I don't use the rear very much
• Needs new shocks ~ < $100 at Advance
• Auto lock on driver's door does not always lock all the way - seems to be sticking a bit and probably only needs some loosening up - nothing broken that I know of

It should, I bought it for the MC and then ended up using another one altogether.

Rancho 9000 shocks

I have a stock 94 bumper (with chrome strips)...slightly tweaked (1/2" or so) on the face itself (PS), hit a small deer at low speed with it...

So I bought an ARB

soon stock springs will be for sale as well, seems like I heard 4Runner guys have use for them.

4 38.5x16R15 TSLs on 15x10 black steel rims. I dont know what offset. They were on my 1980 LC when I bought it. 30% tread left?? One tire is on the rim, inner and outer bead not set. It went flat after 140miles of interstate driving. I will try to reseat it and fill it up and try to findout why. Quick inspection found no holes or things poking through. Other tires are on the rims, no problems. They are balanced as good as you can balance a 38TSL. Pics this week.
$250 if the one tire is still good. In Starr, SC.

Also X8000i Warn winch, steel cable and roller fairlead. Works great, controller end is not perfect, but works fine. $375.
