The fj60 axles are a good deal if they are in good shape but if it is all worn out then its a good deal if you need the parts..
It seems to me that the used car and parts market is a little weak right now as there aren't a lot of folks out there looking for projects that are rollin' in the cash. Most of those folks are buying new stuff and bolting cool stuff on their rigs. I've got my project Sammy on the block and have had minimal interest, granted, it is a Samurai

The 5.3 swap is pretty popular with 80 and relatively easy. There is a couple companies making adapters for it.

I also have a Blue 400ex not sure on the Year right now. Its got a good motor in it just needs some work. Needs a steering shaft some handlebars and re wire a starter switch. Will sellf to members for $1000 and $1200 anyone else.

Well it looks like you should have sold it for more! its gone. I think buying a whole rig with all the junk is probably the best way to go when swapping, run the whole drivetrain, skip the adapters..

We do deals like that all the time. I like to sell at a price where the buyer can make a few bucks. Keeps them coming back for more

That must have been an interesting conversation.
I think a Vortec swap would rival any carb'd or throttlebody swap. I've noticed a decent volume of tahoe/'burban parts-rigs coming up for sale. A bad tranny or major body damage costs more to fix than the rig is worth. And a swap for a do-it-yourselfer isn't much more than rebuilding an engine.. It just takes a lot more time!
