WANTED!!

This morning I blew a power steering line near the pump where it turns downward and heads to the PS unit! Does anyone know(before I start searching and calling) how interchangeable the lines are between models?? Would lines from any 3fe work or are they routed/designed differently?? Kief- got anything over there?? :frown:

Landruiserman has a set from an 80- think they'd work??

UPDATE! Found a set, they are in route! ;)

#1- used lines are usually just as old as the ones they are replacing
#2- the low pressure lines can be replaced with aftermarket high quality hose at a fraction of the OEM part's cost. Logger/Contractor Supply over off of HWY 62 near Vilas has a great selection of hoses, connectors and-
#3 the above mentioned place can rebuild your PS hoses if you are in a pinch and don't want to buy OEM, even if it means silver soldering your ends to match what they can build (at least I believe they offer this service)
#4- I don't have any PS parts that I am selling right now-I'm glad you found something..
#5- I have not idea what interchanges- 62's have the pump in a different spot than the 60's I think and I have no idea about the 80 series
#6- The gear box is a much higher ratio of turns in a manual steering box and as Retro said- they weigh less.

i have got a tow hitch for sale.

my brother said it came from a second gen runner 90-95.
it is TMC. looks like it may fit a first gen as well. youre welcome to check it for fit.

wont fit my '00

want my 50$ back or trade for some stuff

Thanks Kief, I will keep your suggestions in mind and give the replacements I found($62) for the whole tamale, a very close inspection before deciding what to do. Maybe take the set I currently have in for rebuild as plan B parts pile. ;)

Was it the high pressure side that failed? (they have the crimped ends and threaded connections)

Hope you all enjoyed the holidays, we spent it with the family in Portland.
Chad and I stopped by a place in Hillsboro to check out a FJ45 that he had seen for sale just in case someone was interested.
Its a 1965 FJ45, nice condition on the outside but far from stock. Did not get to talk with the owner.
Phone number is 503-347-3762.

I was hard pressed for time as we were headed to a local Micro Brewery to taste some of there winter brews. And as luck would have it Big Bottom Distillery was only two doors away:D

Sorry have to run Coffee is ready

Yep, very near the outlet from the pump. No amount of tape and clamps would stem the flow. Moby left a frothy brown trail all the way back home. :D I'm gonna go out in a while and start pulling it out.

Anybody got a good oil pan for a 2F, 86 60. Parents 60 is leaking pretty good from the drain plug and it has been repaired more then once. It's time for a different one. Thanks josh

Josh, can't you just drill it out with a hole saw and slam a freeze plug in there?? I got a good hammer here!

No, I'm s:frown:rry, I don't have a pan.

Try Orange45 (George). Any 80's 2f should work, maybe even earlier. I used an F pan but had to modify the baffles.. sorry, but I think I only have a spare "F" pan. You could run without the baffles but they are there to help in steep incline/decline situations..

Good luck man, I took a bath on mine but they are fun. I've missed it a couple times over the years particularly when camping. I always see tiny obstacles I feel the need to crawl over.

FREE
Old dresser and cheap-o end tables, also bed frames, one is a traditional L frame for a twin, the other is two wire frames that when put together make a queen bed frame and you can store stuff underneath. Any or all is free. Wire queen bed frame looks like this...

Dresser and crappy end tables in the picture. Dresser is super old and heavy duty. Weighs a ton even when empty. Its been my dads for as long as I can remember and then he gave it to me when they moved to Florida. Has new gnobs on it.
