Ok now for real problems. Anyone have a rear drive shaft I can buy? Or a good source for a new one? Mine kind of let go today.

The place I took mine to downtown resleeved mine and it was pretty balanced even though he didn't balance it.

Just come get these seats tomorrow! The volvo's, and both sets of third rows!
We'll all do lunch.

I just talked to an older black lady at the nursing home who has a 1996 LC. She bought it new off the lot in Montgomery and it has 45,500 original miles. She says she was from Jamaica, loved LC for years, and so when she retired in 1996 she bought it new and parked it and rarely drives it. All of the hoses and everything is original and has been maintained in Montgomery at the dealership. I worked hard to talk her into selling it, if only to have a 96 with that low of mileage.

Probably easier to find a rear 80 series shaft but one from a FJ62 will also work. The 62 shaft may be just a little shorter than the 80 shaft and I don't remember if it is the front or rear that works. Whichever 62 shaft works is what I'm running in the rear of my 80 but it has a stock suspension.

Jim the A343 drive shaft is shorter than the A440/A442 shaft. Not exactly sure why, but it is, since it seems the A343 is actually a smaller in size unit...
I may have the sizes backwards, but I know there is a difference in lengths.

ROH-TAHDE-Paul.... this was extremely easy to make and surprisingly balanced, but given your tires... I don't think you'd feel a lil wobble...

Whatever I was given. I do know that I laid it on a rock and it did not dent as I spun.... However, I almost pulled out the output shaft! LOL!

OK, since it seems to be selling season I will continue the trend and post these here. I have decided to clear out some of my larger tools to try and get some garage space back.

7-1/4" Metal cutting circular saw - $25
This saw cuts through steel plate like it is plywood. Currently needs a new blade (burned the current one up trying to cut through some stainless plate). Harbor Freight doesn't sell these anymore but they do still sell the blades. I bought a plasma cutter so this is now redundant for my purposes.

4x6 horizontal/vertical bandsaw with a custom stand - $175

I love, love this saw but it takes up too much space. There is a cult following for these on the internet. I have also replaced the vertical cut table with a custom plate that can remain attached in horizontal mode.

dropping prices, offers considered. I would rather have the space in the garage at this point.

Eric I blame it on my ADD...

Yeah its a running Rust Bucket and definitely not for someone with T-Rex arms.

There is an 18 yo kid here in Decatur that text me last night to talk about his new fj62 he bought. He says the transmission is going out and asked me if I knew of a transmission close by. I told him about the Rodney party trick and he is going to try that but just in case does anyone have an auto tranny for the 62 they are willing to part with?

I have a tranny. It's still sitting in the '88 FJ62 parts truck but needs a good home.

Mileage on the odometer is less than 200k. PO said the transmission had been rebuilt and in talking to him I think the tranny has < 10k on the rebuild. I'm asking $250 but I am flexible, especially if I have help in dropping it.

Forgot to add, I bought the FJ62 for a parts vehicle knowing that it had an engine knock. My family and I drove it for about 7-8 months before I parked it and during this time the tranny worked just fine. I pulled the cooler lines recently and the fluid that drained was clean and red.
