My granddaughter will be sixteen in about two months and I need to find her a good car to drive to school and back. Need one that's been serviced properly, reliable and not too high mileage. Something like a Civic, Accord, Camry etc. She really wants a Land Cruiser or Jeep but the gas would eat my lunch as I remember how much I drove when I was sixteen.
Don't want to spend a fortune and looking for a good deal on a good car.
If you know of anything would appreciate your help.

I'm in that same market too. Unfortunately, low budget decent quality cars are HARD to get right now. I am looking for my son a set of wheels and it is a overpriced junkyard out there right now. Cash-4-Clunkers left us with no decent used cars out there.

Throwing it out there, but I'll have a 94 Ford Ranger ext can I'll be selling soon for $4k.
My grandfather bought it new, and it was given to me when he passed away with 32,000 miles on it.
It has around 78k on it now, 4.0L V6, reliable clean truck. Has a high top camper shell, and new new headliner.
It's at the shop right now having a new fuel pump installed.

that is my old truck.
I sold it because I didnt have the time/tools/money/ability to fix it.
I do miss the hell out of it though.
Notice it is upgraded to "running" condition no mention of driving...
I wonder what happened to the hard top and doors, I basically gave away the worsttop it came with. I hated that thing.
