You're making me cry.
If someone bought #6, I'd hope you'd take my left nut for the difference.

Hope yourin cells first. So it'll be an easy decision for me!

My balls are wood, cause I'm a skee'r

I'm not skeeball championing you for the gold truck...I can't rock the wooden spheres like you bham folk

Have you posted in the regular classifieds?

Haven't posted any place else. Want a good home and won't be going out of my way to sell
Because I lack the time to do it. 50-60hrs of work a week and 10-12hrs of house work ad yard work...I don't have any extra time. Local works best and I'm not in a pinch to sell...just need room and the extra cash would help get this house closer to my comfort level.

4500 bucks for a lifted locked SC 80?

did I miss gas hitting 6 dollars a gallon, what has happend to 80 series prices the last few months?

Nothing, they've been like this for a while. years. I've never paid over $6K and I've owned 6. My second was a 96 a few years ago and I bought it under $3k if I recall.

What actually happens, is folks pay too much for them and then decide to sell them and try getting equal or more out of them when they sell.

They are now decades old. And as such, have twenty year old problems, like brittle wiring harnesses, that are damn near impossible to fix until you replace the wiring... short story long, these beasts are expensive to own, so they're cheap to buy.

then decide to sell them and try getting equal or more out of them when they sell.

That is certainly what I was hoping for...

or trade for a nice reliable 40... which ever.

I'm just realistic about what its worth..
The 10+k ones that are actually worth it are collectors items.
Decked out with roof racks drawers parfect maintanince history and has not bounced near the amount of times that mine has.

Asshats try to sell rigs at a primium because they see that's what the collector level ones arr bieng sold for and ignoriant people pay those prices (me included)
I bought mine and if was for 12k it should have been 10k if it was what it was represented to be but in reality it was probably worth 8k. I bet I have put 8k into it.
You know what kind of 80 I could have had for 20k of I wasn't so green.

French gave me a set of spacer for free which were prrobably woth $30. For contrast purposes you sold me a shroud for $40 or $60 (mud retail). Raven knocked a $100 off his dual battery set up and gave me a fan shroud for free just because I drove down there and went out to dinner with him and his mom (they paid! ) he didn't even know me from the man in the moon; he just knew I was mud family.
French worked the deal for my front bumper which was practiaclly given to him and as far as I know he didn't make any money off of it practically gave it to me. Matt took the time to halp me grind it and pretty much rebuilt it for free and Matt Davis offered to get it sandblasted for free. I inturn sold my practially new ARB to mather for a redicously low price...

The head gasket hasn't been done and though I have faith is a good one if I were a buyer looking at it I would see it as a time bomb.
If my body and interior were what it was when I bought it I would be thinking maybe 8 or 9. My tansmission has 50k more miles on it than tbe rest of the truck for petes sake
Now I now matt knows Eric H knows and Raven knows that's itsb way better than the one that came out of it but wouldn't you scratch your head aboutbthat if you were buying it.

Im not in the market to rip some one off I see this as family its a fair price for what it is.
If some one buys it and the head goes tomorrow I wouldn't feel guilty. . Ok maybe a little.

All I want is a simple near stock cruiser with expedition upgrades not off road up grades.
May be If I lived out west but out side of where they had GSMTR all we can do is drive around in circles breaking stuff.
I have a line on a locked 96 with 190k for cheap cheap I mean less than trooper Cheap..
And I can find early 90 erra cruisers for 3k all day long.

No reason to try and rip family...
Matt made your roof rack at a loss.
Those control arms you got cost less than what I paid for them at the pull a part.
Just today I sold/gave or somthing (it hasn't been worked out yet) a brand new marine battery from sears to Eric and he gave me a speed sensor that would cost on mud at least 100 $ for 40 $. Brad made me a set of mock metal tech spacers (around 150 $) for a set of rubber spacers that Matt gave me for free.
I can't even remeber how much Matt Eric and I have swaped for free.

Good folks just don't charge Mud high retail for things they got for much less.
The family is worth more than the profit whether it be a part or a rig.
And folks in Dixie land should give other folks in dixie land even better deals.

You see its all about paying in forward.... Cruiser Karma ain't no joke.

Eloquently put. Bravo.

Good karma you have sir!
Which is why I wouldn't take the money from you on that sensor. It'll work out in time for sure where we will both be happy in the end. We'll figure it out. Money comes and goes, good people do not.
