Taco is sold... Time to crank up the t-bars and throw some rubber under the hundo.

Awesome for you - what are you going with?

All you need is a jack, a 30mm socket, a tape measure and a couple of tries. Get it where you want it and wait about a week or so then go get an alignment and you are all set. Make sure you leave some rake and 50mm of droop. I think my front is 20.75 from center of hub to fender lip and most shoot for between 20.5 and 21. More than that and you are going to have CV issues and would need a diff drop. Also may want to look at getting some CV clamps that Pfran sells.

Good job, that was quick. You should start a vehicle for sale staging company with those pictures. you even made the dent look good.

Haha, thanks. I was a little worried I made the dent look too good, and that the guy would be all like, "wow that's lots worse than it looked." A low camera angle combined with the the reflection in the chrome really made it understated.

If anyone here is selling a truck and wants me to take pics of it, that field is right behind my house. I'll be happy to help out. All told shooting them, basic contrast / vibrance post process, and uploading, probably took less than an hour.

If clank sells the 80 again shoot that.

Not sure what tires just yet. Pretty sure I'm going to go with an MT of some sort. I was kinda underwhelmed with the BFG AT's. The big question is whether or not to just go for the full monty, diff drop, rear springs, new shocks, the works, or just re-indx the t-bars and leave it.

As I understand it re-indexing the t-bars doesn't add preload the way that cranking coilovers does, but rather changes the point at which the suspension engages the t-bar for spring loading. (similar to a top plate spacer I guess). If that's the case, the ride shouldn't suck I guess? I've never had a vehicle with anything but coil springs (in the front), so something in my inner being dislikes making stock suspension taller or shorter... just seems like it's always a compromise.

I really really liked the way my Tacoma rode with the OME springs and shocks + the 33's. It was planted, firm, but not rattle-your-teeth-out. I'd like the LC to be a little firmer than it is currently, and maybe a little more aggressive valving from a damping perspective, but I don't want it to ride like an unladen pickup, that's for sure.

I can't imagine why. You should look at the terra grapplers. Much better than the bfg's offroad IMO and maybe quieter on the street.

Hah, yeah... I guess everyone has a set once to learn why they're maligned the way they are.

Was looking for something perhaps more aggressive than the Terra Grapplers.

Was thinking about Duratracs maybe, or General Grabbers (Not the AT2's).

Guess I oughta move the banter over to the knitting circle thread instead of clogging up the FS thread... now that I think about it.

I am currently deciding between grabbers and AT2s

I MIGHT one day drive in snow, thats why the AT2s are currently in the lead.

Love my Duratracs

Wish I woulda bought 315s though

If you lift and find a set of 16's off a 98-02 these are a pretty good deal:

In search of a navy blue hunnerd. I guess it needs ATRAC and a tow package.
Wanna trade the tundra in on it.
Keeps them ears sniffing

That's exactly what I want, just not touching a salt state. I helped too many rigs from there and it sucks trying to break free parts.

Yeah!
