Well it is time to sell one of my FJ40's to make room for another truck coming at the end of the spring. Hopefully someone else will love this project as much as I do.

For Sale: 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 project. The complete body off restoration and customization of this truck is not yet complete but here are some of the basic details:
Original frame, hood, fenders, fender aprons, roof side panels and rear doors have zero rust.
Body and Frame
-New Aqualu aluminum body tub with custom gauge cluster cut for Autometer gauges.
-Aqualu lockable storage tailgate to use when roof or rear ambulance doors are off.
-Fenders are brand new factory fenders. No dents dings or scratches.
-Rear ambulance doors are in excellent shape.
-Frame has zero rust and the open side rails along the rear ½ of the chassis have been boxed in to stiffen frame. Wheel base has been stretched 1.5” by shackle reversal kit and 4” with full custom four-link rear suspension.
-Custom front bumper with D-rings for vehicle recovery.
-Custom full roll cage, triangulated and tied down to the frame. Upper cage is mechanically fastened through the body tub to the lower cage that ties into the frame so that the tub can be removed.
Driveline, Suspension and Steering
-New Chevy 350 engine w/350 hp.
-TH350 transmission.
-Custom four-link rear suspension fabricated by Northern Fabrication. QA-1 heim joints, heavy tube steel and rear end box webbing. Extremely well designed and executed for incredible articulation.
-Shackle reversal kit with custom 4” front leaf springs by Alcan Spring.
-Bilstein 5150 front shocks with 14” travel (255/70 valving).
-Bilstein Coil-overs (PN# B46-9115RCS11) digressive valving and 13.25” travel.
-Cut and turned FJ40 front end built by Proffitts Cruisers of Colorado with mini truck knuckles, new Longfield Chromoly Super -Axles, new ARB 4:11 air locker, 4x4 Labs Hysteer kit, QA-1 heim joints, ARP knuckle stud kit, and aisin hubs.
-Narrowed Dana 60 rear end with Detroit locker, custom four link brackets and webbing, ¾ ton disc brake conversion with vented rotors.
-Power steering conversion boxed into frame.
Parts-New stock radiator.
-New stock fuel tank and mounting brackets.
-Two sets of 35” BFG-Mud Terrain tires (One set are worn and used for rolling the project around, the second set are ready for the road or trail and have 50% tread life).
-Cobra adjustable bucket race seats.
-Stock 15” chrome wheels.
-Metal Tech front stinger is installed but Tube Fender Kit is still in box.
-Many other parts are also available.

Items Requiring Completion
Need carb, ignition system, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, starter, exhaust, drive shafts, torque converter, coil springs, limit straps for rear end, and paint.

Tom, I am located in Canton just East of Torrington. I goofed on the price as I rushed to get this listing up on the Mud site. I have this truck listed locally on Craigslist for $11,000 and have adjusted the price accordingly on this classified ad. I would be happy to show you this truck next weekend if you have time. I will be out of town until then. Just let me know. I'd love to see this truck go to another cruiserhead like me in the local area.
