Lenny, you wanted to know about another big event... ECORS series is coming to the GAP in Auburn! April... weekend hasn't been set but the location and month have!
https://sites.google.com/a/ecors.com/title/schedule

Not much woopow will be there but awesome rigs will! and i'm sure excitement...

Cool! looks fun!

Do they close the park off to other riders? I would hate to ride out there and not bring my rig.

I ain't into to being teased!

Dude... come anytime! The park is open like 3 weekends before that!

Feb 26th, Mar 12, etc...

Hopefully i will have the zuk finished by then. Adapter is being made as we speak. still gathering intel on 4 link. But I pretty much know what I want to do. Just trying to wrap my head around adapting fuel lines from a fuel cel to stock lines. Not familiar with fuel cels..

I am trying to wrap my head around how you guys are finding a fuel cell as difficult.

Not difficult .just never done it. What adapter/ fitting do you use to connect factory fuel line to fuel cel lines? I don't want to run new ones cause I don't need em.

I follow the path of least resistance, if I can just relocate the factory tank I will do that. if not, Then I will use a fuel cel. Whatever I put in there I just want it to work like it works now, reliably.

Not being familiar with how yours is set up, I am assuming it is hard lines along the frame to soft lines at the tank.

Disconnect factory cell at the hard lines on frame.

Connect new fuel line from hard lines to new fuel cell.

If your pump is in the tank, then you will need to add an in-line fuel pump.

I already have an external fuel pump so it should be just hooking it up with hose clamps. But All I have been seeing is the stainless steel braided lines coming off the fuel cel. Are stainless steel lines a must for fuel in the cab? I Want the set up to be safe. Thats why my first choice is keep the fuel cel outside /under the rig.

Seriously Lenny! Gawd you and Land Speeder are like peas and carrots!

Ed Zachery my thoughts as well... every syllable.

I'll be over for the National Forest ride... afterwards we can have a gas tank move party!

Sounds good! may turn it into a wrenching session weekend.

I have always run fuel safe rubber fuel lines.

All stainless braided line is is rubber hose with pretty coverings. Also, going that route you will have to use -an fittings instead of hose clamps.

Rubber works just fine.

What is the problem with having a fuel cell in the bed again? 99.99% of buggies have the cell in the chassis, I have never seen it as a problem. I think you are overthinking it.

??
i want mines in the bed...

I am definitely overthinking this.. I want to make sure of what I am doing before i do it.

I have spent more time on researching 4 links and how I want to comp cut the rear fenders on the sam then on fuel cels.

I will get the tcase and 4 link in place and then worry about where the tank will go.

you were right to capitalize Yat but its Mr. Yat to you :p

April 30th is the ECORS event... This will be the racing debut of ShuntWurx! I'm going to try to enter the B class.... You know!
