Foam insulators on 12Н-Т

Guys, what's the purpose of these foam insulators on 12h-t? Are these for noise insulation or heat or cold insulation thing? I'd be happy to use these if they work to quieten the engine noise.

Noise insulators.
Left them out after cleaning up the block.
I like the 12HT noise.

Yep noise. I pulled all of mine. That particular 12ht had an oil pan insulator as well.
