Floppy Mirror Syndrome (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Recently my 97 FZJ80 has been infected with FMS (driver's side). The mirror no longer stays "clicked" into position and thus when I go over 35 the mirror folds in towards the vehicle. Does any one have any experience with this? Parts schematics or numbers? Hacks, Etc.? I'm hoping I don't have to replace the whole thing $$$$$

I have used hot glue for this. I originally imagined this to be a short term fix but it's worked for years.

Thanks. Just FYI, they are at anodize currently.

I used clear adhesive silicone. Not proud of it but I know it's temporary and better than the piece of cardboard and zip tie the PO used.
