What's good and what's bad in the realm of flexy-flares ? For anyone who has them, did you fit them yourself, and what sort of fastening setup did you use?

Looks like fitting them to the front fenders is easy. The back ones are a little more problematic because any fasteners need to go into part fo the body space that is inaccessible.
 
In the meantime I've done some 'research' - the best ones are Australian brand 'Bushranger' and they come in 35 mm and 65 mm width, supplied as a continuous 3m roll long enough to do two wheel arches.



As for fixing them, the best solution I'm coming up with is 304 grade stainless steel self-drilling 'wafer head' screws. Probably 8 or 10 gauge ones.


I don't know yet if I'll got for the 35 or 65 mm wide flexy flares but they cost around A$100 a roll, so two would be needed to do all four wheel arches.
 
I found this on Amazon and saved the link. Looks like it would save the drilling, and potentially cover OEM flare mounting holes.
