Looking at the map, my thought is to head down to 54 and then bee-line it to Rolla. I'm planning to leave after lunch on that Friday - my guess is I'll roll in between 6 and 7. I'll get my planned route figured up and see where/if we can hook up.
Probly somewhere around Eureka.

I'll have sleeping for me and one or two others in the camper that I'm head'n over to pick this evening (on-board shower, heat and air  ) .... and no spooning :princess:

Hmm that leaves Heather and I out if no spooning! DANGIT..
Congrats on the camper.. I need more parking spots at my place!

Geez - every tool I have for checking routes suggests going through KC - Columbia - Rolla to get there. That's going to be a long drive... Staying on 54 through Nevada supposedly will add an hour to the trip.

Mike - For you it suggested taking 166, jumping on 44 and heading up through Springfield.

Dang! April 1st.... Gotta get busy and get a front driveshaft and finish up running the air line for the locker, tho...

I was think'n US400 to Springfield, US63 to US63 to Licking, then to Salem. I'm figuring about 400 miles.

Ok... from looking at the forecast models, meteorological discussions and the weather service official dartboard , at this time it looks like rain/possible severe wx on Thurs with the system moving out on Fri. At this point, Fri/Sat should be ok... with a possiblility of more rain on Sun.

Mike's right tho... it'll change between now and the weekend. :D

It's getting better .... as of the time of this post;

Thursday - PM T-Showers / Wind, 73*/56*, 40% chance of rain
Friday - Partly Cloudy, 66*/47*, 20% chance of rain
Saturday - Partly Cloud, 69*/49*, 20% chance of rain
Sunday - Scattered T-Storms 40% chance of rain

I just finished caulking and siliconing the camper, the heater, AC and beer cooler all work great :hillbilly

For those of you who are using a GPS to navigate to the park, here are the coordinates that I came up with from the directions that are on their website.

34-28-34.5 N
91-34-59.1 W

May not be exact, but if the directions are correct, it should be close.

Hey yawl-I'm out!
Had to make a crash trip up to dad's last weekend.

Let me know how it goes-I went by there on my way out of town....the area looks awesome for wheeling. Have fun yawl!

OK, ready to go now.

Step 1 - Take new 160 A one-wire alternator off and box up to ship back to get tested and converted to two-wire.
Step 2 - Take off york compressor that was working nicely.
Step 3 - Put back on stock alternator w/ bracket.
Step 4 - Re-hook up the CO2 tank.

Crap, but am now ready to go, shy of throwing everything in the truck and getting the 40 loaded up.

I'm not exactly sure when I'll get out of town Friday. I may be pretty late get'n in Friday, but most likely will stop somewhere for the night and plan on get'n in Saturday morning.

Planning at this point on going to US54 to Camdenton, 7 to I-44, to Rolla then south. It'll be about 385 miles and a little more back-tracking then I hoped for, so we'll see. I may going back through Springfield and Carthage to see if it'a any better.

Got the cage finished and the windshield replaced so FIDO's ready (except for the front shackles that arrived last night). Big Blue has fresh oil, new oil, fuel and air filters. Don't think I'll get the air-bags on before I leave so she'll be squat'n pretty bad.

I ain't loaded or packed a thing for tools, parts, camping gear or food yet ...... I guess I'm as ready as I usually am :hillbilly
