One of the new classes Im enrolled in at school selects one person to design a "class" project, and keep it if they pay for it.
Ive added up around 500 Worth of metal, and Thats what the average project costs.
So here is what I have come up with. I love the looks of a flat bed on the minis, but Ive never seen one like this. Its only function is Trail. But I want to leave space so I can sit an axle or parts in it. (ie No Jungle Gym).
The scratch shading in the Down Bar is going to be serated steel. It will have a wood bed and a slide out drawer system. The drawer will have a recessed mounting space to act as a 1.Handle 2. Stylish Liscene plat holder.
The blinkers will be arrows, the reverse ligths will be above the drawer and the brake lights will be to the side.
There will be 2 Dring mounts on either side of the bed. Including a 2" receiver and a lip on the perimeter capable of withstanding the stress of a Tie down.
The wood will be local red cedar (if it coperates) or the lumber yard special.
Material 1/8" C-Channel or 3/16" C-Channel, 1/2 Ceader wood, Misc. Serated(expanded) metal, thin plate steel, thicker plate steel, 1x1 square tube, other misc wiring, lights, etc.
Dimensions are; L 6', W 5', H(from bottom to top of rollbar) 2-3'
Things subject to change; Material, roll bar design, possibility of ditching this and just making a front bumper/rear bumper/sliders/xmember/rollbar combo.

What thickness metal do you recomend?
