Didn't quite sound right, but oh well.

Who is up for a potluck dinner Thursday evening at the event? I think we could persuade chef boy r Mike C. to fire up the smoker. Club would pay for the meat, attendees provide a side dish (warm or cold) and/or dessert, your own table service, and whatever beverages you prefer.

If you are in, list what you'd enjoy bringing. Haven't heard from Craig Cox, but I missed the cobbler at Ashers this year (hint..hint).

What time would dinner be? I should make it in on Thursday night.

Since I'm going down on Tuesday, I'll probably have to run into town to pick something up since I doubt I can keep something fresh that long.

Is there a grocery store nearby? I could pick up lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, etc. to make a big bowl of salad. How does that sound?

I like cookies better, but I suppose I'll eat salad first to set a good example for da Coop.

Mike - pulled pork sounds fantastic.

Randy - it won't be that hot - you could probably pick up what you need on the way to the park.

I'm thinking we'll mix up a big pot of baked beans, hold the JD this year (my batch sucked last year - blame it on the Shiner).

I am planning on following Matt I. down this year and we should arrive by Thursday afternoon. I am coming alone with just my tent. Let me know what you need, or I can make a run to Salem for stuff when we get there. Maybe I could do buns or more chips...something that I can toss in the truck without a lot of cooling issues.

I'm stuck on a job where OT is pretty much mandatory 60hrs a week probably till spring. Everthing is ok i'm just beat most of the time. Daylight savings maybe. I hate to miss flat nasty but work is thin right now and I don't want to push my luck too far. I hope you all have fun.
