Been kicking myself in the arse over a minor detail. My son's 80 does lock beautifully but the front indicator light was flashing, so the old man started testing using wire to short sensor and checking dash, used the camera on video to check sensor being pushed by hand. With this buttoned up still the flash in the dash, so out comes the actuator and onto the bench, she looks so good I have to give her a kiss!
Being a genius I have already lifted the front tires, checked the lock/unlock functions, turned the key on with lockers still enabled, plugged in the actuator with yellow painted match marks to prove movement. Everything was perfect!
Then it hit me...pulled the sensor and took off a washer, ahhhhhh and jackpot!
No worries as I did not plug the actuator back in which is funny in it's own right.
It's not my fault as I'm over 60, working on an 81 and my 75 for another Yukon trip.
Besides a film crew came by and started fondling the cruisers asking if they can use a cruiser on set. Now that I have to think about.
