Thanks for bring that to my Attention. That assumes the proper size tire was mounted.

It would be a good effort to fit to a 15" tire on a16" rim!!

You can read the wheel diameter from the sidewalls of the tires, also. Dont have to pull the wheels.

I am sure I must be missing something, how can the tire sidewall tell you the wheel width? Possibly you mean the tire will tell you the minimum and or maximum desired wheel width?

A 16x7" wheel works fine to mount skinnies (255/85 R16 BFG KM2 in my case) on. I've got mine on 16x8 OEM steelies, which is the max width the skinnies can be mounted on. With a 7" wheel, you get more sidewall bulge and somewhat better protection against scuffing the rim in the rocks.

But not impossible, and quite easy to get a 16" tire on a 15" rim. Not safe but people do stupid things and I don't like to assume.
In post # 12 OP states he has on idea what widths or other specs of wheels and why I offered the info on how to find it.
