Chefboyardee, the center splines on the 40 (at least later model) is the same as in 60, 62, 70 and 80 series. This particular wheel has been fitted to a 70, which then was replaced with a 60 wheel then back to the original 70 wheel. A friend also has a 62 wheel in a 60. No drama at all.

No, the 81+ steering post still has the same spline count and size. I think the very early ones (I'm guessing the early 1960's) have a different post size.
