FJ80 drive flange differences

I didn't realize this was thing. Bought two FJ80 flanges, one is way thicker than the other and wouldn't allow a snapring to fit on my frankenstein axle.

What's the deal with this? Specific year i shouldn't buy or are they actually different between both sides

Different years. 8mm difference. Interchangeable if you use an associated birf. Good to keep as a spare just in case. Just mark it.

Thinner drive flange was or from 91- mid 94. Then they went to thicket and 8mm longer birf.
