Hi Mud,

Great to find a reason to be active again on here.

My family has continued to grow and I found myself not using my FJ62 enough. I am in the process of reupholstering and getting the FJ62 ready to sell, but in the meantime I found myself a 100 Series with a lot of the off-road bits that I wanted already installed.

I probably overpaid ($25.5k), but the rig is in great shape - and I was in need of an upgrade from my FJ62 to carry my two kids, two dogs and the wife around the Colorado mountains. Excited to swap over the camping/overlanding gear from the FJ62.

Your following my path except my hundy was 130k miles and way over paid (20k) for it. Plus, my 60 sits in my garage....

Overpaid: well, you have a low mileage rig, hopefully zero rust (texas might be an issue), and all the bells/whistles done. plus it will go 80+ mph up the col grades in comfort. A good find!

For market reference, I paid $25.5k. In today's market, I would've had a hard time buying one with 181k miles and building it for that price.

There are two items that will be sort of expensive to fix, there is a tennis ball sized ding on the driver rear wheel well where the slider gave way to a rock - and there is a ding on the rear lower hatch.

Both items don't NEED to be fixed, but they are bugging me.

Maintenance wise, I am pretty sure the truck is sorted well. Have lots of juicy receipts for the work performed over the years and maintenance items such as all hoses and such being replaced in the last couple years. Tires are rather new, brake pads are new.

Editing the original post with plans.

what is this for, for whatever reason I want to move my ARB air locker switches and other auxiliary switches up there. any feedback?

I must be doing it wrong. I bought a 100 then a 60 to haul my heathens around the CO mountains.
You’re just bolder than I am! I was having a hard time fitting a toddler, a 2 month old and two 60 lbs dogs with gear in the FJ62.

Oh and a wife, of course / can’t forget her.

Welcome to the club. Check out Benjamin's 3D prints @BenCC. He makes a bunch of 3D printed stuff for Land Cruisers. I've bought a mount from him for that location for my Switch Pros switches. He makes a bunch of options for that location. Great products. I have an extra one of these, but it is in tan. He makes grey too.

Wow these are sweet! Thanks for the share.

Not sure if you overpaid but this vehicle was much cheaper about 6 months ago.
For sure … I think the PO flipped this for about $5k profit *shrug* after buying it late last summer.

i did just make $8k off of my M2 I drove for a year. Kind of like “trading up” for a house in a hot market.

I need to develop a list of all the small things I want to do. I believe the prospeed rack is selling this weekend. I’m picking up the mounting solution from Tiny Rig Co. for my AluCab tent next.

First to do list:
Move ARB switches to headliner console
Move LED Switch to headliner console
Replace HUD/Speedo bulbs
Fix GloveBox Gap
Fix lower dashboard driver left Gap
Fix Hood shake/rattle

Newb questions incoming:

Since I have ARB Air Lockers, do I need the OEM Center Diff switch?
What do the Power and 2nd buttons do?

Can I relocate the Emergency Blinker button over to the OG Rear Locker spot?

Yes, otherwise you won’t have true 4x4, just AWD with lockers.

Anything is possible.

Thanks for the reply, can you help me better understand the difference?

I probably wouldn't move the emergency blinker button if keeping the diff button.

The 100 is “full-time 4-wheel drive” but it functions like an AWD system in that the front and rear propeller shafts (driveshafts) do not receive equal power and do not spin at the same rate. The CDL, when engaged, “locks” the front and rear prop shafts in sync so that they receive equal power and spin at the same rate, giving you true 4x4 that is akin to locking the hubs and shifting to 4H or 4L in your 62. If you disable the CDL in your 100, then you’ll never 4x4, only AWD.

Thank you very much, now I understand why I need the OEM CDL.

Nice find. It seems to have the lockers, gears and suspension already upgraded. In my experience you can go a long ways without spending big money on the aftermarket bumpers. In fact you can even run a winch under the plastic bumper (you will need to buy a winch mounting plate).

As for moving the switches to the overhead console, @BenCC has created wonderful products for our trucks. I happen to have an extra six switch mount sitting on bench that I am no longer planning to use. It will bolt right up to your overhead console. Here are a couple of pics. PM me if you are interested:
