Guys new to ih8mud and to cruiser ownership. Trying to get this rig into fine working order but not stress the stress the stuff that does not matter. I have noticed that the shifting mechanism is fairly loose and wobbly. The shaft may even be a little bent.

1. Does this need to be corrected ?

2. How difficult would this be to do myself ? Any suggestions ?

Specter offroad sells everything you need and it's like $20 for everything. Easy fix

You'll be glad you did and a good one to start with to get to know your 62. Toyota Carlsbad offers 20% off parts for vehicles 20 years or older and you qualify.
