I found the problem, 3 feet of the main wire from the pump had to be replaced. Somehow it just bit the dust after I started tracing wires down the line. Figured it out when I got the Pump connections out and wired a Line from the Fuse box to the pump. Then it worked. hahaha.. This has been the biggest puzzle of a car iv ever had to deal with and Again thank all of you for trying your best and for the most part it all helped me in the right direction, if anything Iv learned a lot more of my 62 than I thought and made me realize how much of a different animal it is than my 60 was. So in the end. A fuel Pump and 3 feet of wire was the ticket. Thanks every! I hope for now, there wont be anything else.

congrats! Glad to hear you solved the problem. It's usually the simple things. :)

Thanks!

I have used mud for lots of trouble shooting and gaining knowledge before repairs and this post helped a ton. Thanks to all who contributed. My FJ62 ran strong up to Copper Mountain with 4 people and snow gear for a X-mas ski day. After skiing we went to load up in the truck and it started and ran for 5 seconds and then nothing. I used mud on my phone at the bar while we waited for a friend to come get us and I bought a fuel pump and fuel pump relay. It appears that sourcing the EFI relay is tricky and a call to cruiser Dan is in order. I brought the parts up to Copper to trouble shoot and try to get her back down to Boulder to work in warmer temps. None of the parts were necessary! I had been working on the tail lights in the rear DS quarter panel the day before and the Blue Connection was corroded. I cleaned it up, used electric grease, and spliced in the wires for the tail lights around the connector. Today, I cleaned it up again, used more electric grease and reconnected the connector and she fired up.

The truck has 272,000 miles on it and that was the first time she left me totally stranded after my 120,000 miles. I imagine that the components mentioned in this thread are due for replacement: EFI Relay, Fuel Pump, Fuel Pump Relay, Circuit Opening Relay, Fuel Filter. However, in my case, the problem was a wire in the DS rear quarter panel and I possibly helped the problem while I was working on my tail light issue.:bang:

Thanks again! This forum really helped!
