Hi,
I got a replacement temperature gauge sensor for my 1988 FJ62, but it didn't come with a seal. From the looks of the online pics, it should have an o ring, but I was wondering if anyone can confirm that. Or if it has a copper washer or something else. It's the small sensor on the driver's front of the upper thermostat housing. It has the spade connector. The one I removed was super old and didn't seem to have a seal either. The new one leaks really bad right now.
Thanks!

Is there a copper washer in there? Some of the sensors on the assembly have gaskets some don't.

Here's my thread from trying an aftermarket upper thermostat housing. I ended up going back to stock because of a buggered up housing. Toward the bottom of the post is the replacement for #182-65 shown with a washer.

Cool, thanks. I'll try the copper washer. I don't think my broken one had a seal, but I'll give it a try. Here's a pic of the sensor I ordered. Looks like it has an o ring, but I've never seen an o ring that was external to the housing.
Thanks
