Swapping in an ls and using a 62 shifter…

I’ve got 2 green wires, yellow, white, red, and black coming into the pigtail. Before I start cutting and testing does anyone have a wiring schematic for it?

Mainly the ground. I see the two greens go to a green bulb

Yellow and white go to the top bulb

Lastly the black and red to go the at oil temp light.

If I wanted to just hook up the light for the gear selector I’m assuming the greens and they have a dim function? Where’s the ground or is the shifter grounded to the body?

Doesn't that harness just run inside the body? Why would you have to mess with anything on it? If you just want the backlighting to work, you should only just need to leave it alone.

You’re correct on the greens. 12vDC incandescent bulb won’t care which side gets power.

The other two bulbs are neutral indicator and AT fluid temp warning
