Are folks just swapping the 60 upholstery to the 62 frame?
For my swap on a late model FJ60, the fabric was an exact match. It was as simple as swapping the entire rear seat back. 2 bananas tops.

Reviving this thread… where does the box get anchored and isn’t there one more anchor point? I tried tagging the op but his name doesn’t come up anymore. Thank you!

I did the same swap in my 60 and it works great! Are you doing the 62 bottom also to store the headrests? I did not, but I have the 62 seat pan and foam. If you are near SoCal, you can have them?

I know this is old, not sure if Doug is still around. But Im curious what he meant by '62 bottom also to store the headrests'
Is there a place to put the headrests when you flip the bottom up?

I'm still around...

The 62 seat bottom frame has steel brackets and the upholstery has plastic, non-locking grommets that allow the headrests to be stored. The holes are visible when one folds the 62 seat bottom forward. The headrests must be removed to fold the backrest forward and clear the front seats.

I want to add - Ive had several late-80s/early 90s Toyota vehicles...well, a few MR2s and now this 62 - the company really impresses me with their 'little' things that they do, like this. Building in the headrest holder is just a neat thing and very handy.
