My loss, someone else's gain.

As you may have seen I am in the process of restoring my 84 FJ60 (thread in 60 section). As such, I've now got a set of brand new (4) shocks for sale. Unfortunately, I bought Toyota shocks from the local dealer to replace my warn out Monroe's and must not have been thinking when I did it. They will not work with my AAL's and longer shackles so I am going to need to get longer aftermarket. However, everyone raves at how well the stock Toyota's ride and I guess I was hoping I could make these work. They won't . . . .:doh::frown:

will they work with just the AAL without the longer shackles. Or do you need longer shackles to have AAL. Im still trying to learn the 60 suspension ropes.

I can't say for sure, but I think they'd work just fine with only AAL's (alot depends on how shot your stock springs are before the AAL's), but I ended up going with 2" lift shackles....:doh:I'm an idiot. . . .wasn't thinking I guess.

Scratch that, I measured them last night and I'd say they'd definitely work with only AAL's. They are 23.5" at full extend. When I measured mine at full droop (with 2" shackles) I'm only at 24.25".

Oh yeah, bump!
 
thanks Skinner I will check with the boss, see what she says. Ive got a growing laundry list of stuff to buy. I will check back.

And ship to Portland free? No thanks. The lowest I can go is $120. These shocks are brand new; OEM Toyota.
