This chart is a work in progress... I need people with Land Cruisers to shout out their years/color codes to get them added to the chart, or I need to see the brochure for each year. As I get the information I will complete the chart. I am aware that there were more than two colors for 1986, I just don't know the other colors yet!![]()
I guess that the 2 tones were a port option? I have a couple of Beige/Brown combos. Yes this is a JDM truck, but my 90 model is the same color combo and was bought new here in Dallas.
I have never found the paint code for this color brown. The tag only has the code for the beige.
FYI - I have a US spec '87 FJ60 in the Dark Blue Metallic (8B4) color that you show as only available in 1985.
I'm not sure the yellow and green are correct. Never seen one. I would guess those were 40 colors.
Yes, I use AutoColorLibrary quite a bit, but the one thing it doesn't tell me is which model the color came on. Thats the same problem with the list of two-tones that you posted... those appear to be the two-tone colors for all of Toyota's models in 1989. It is good information to have, it just doesn't help me with the FJ60 chart. If someone could tell me which of those two-tones actually were available on the FJ60 then I could add the two-tone color info to the chart. You should check out this site for more info on paint codes and the two-tones...
I think I got confused from a list I had that just listed LCs by year, not model. I removed the yellow and green from the chart. That is correct, there were no US-spec yellow or green 60 series Land Cruisers...
Thanks, I extended the chart so that 4E8 is now from 86-88.My January 1986 FJ60 is 4E8...
Well I know 27G was offered in 89 for the FJ62. Thats what mine is.
the raffle rig is listed as beige metallic 4g8, which i'm guessing by ccots chart is the same as 27g since that's what the rig looked like. that is what's known as "champagne"
Not sure what you mean by raffle rig? And no I dont think 27G is the same as 4G8. 27G is a two-tone code for beige on the top and ? color on the bottom of the vehicle (some sort of brown). 4G8 is a solid color.
What CCOT shows as a 27G vehicle I dont think is accurate. IMO
