So cars been sitting for 2 years. Got it running. Drive it a couple hours yesterday.

Wake up today it wouldn't start. Find out it flooded the engine.

Drained the oil pan and about 5 gallons of gasoline came out as well.

Pulled the carb off and it started just fine. Pulled the park plugs off and turned it over and everything seems okay.

I'm assuming the float bowl is stuck and it's just continuing to flood the engine. I'm scared to take apart the carb unable to sync it myself back up.

Need all the advice I can get. Just made new base gaskets because originally I thought the carb was leaking. got to get her on the road as soon as possible! Thank you in advance!

Took apart the carb. The float is fine. Thought it would have been filled with gas and that's what caused it not to float. But everything seems to check out okay. Cleaning it and putting it back together with the new gaskets. Any other ideas as to what could flood the engine to hydrolock it?

Yeah just screwed it all the way and and about to start and quarter turn it back till it idles well. Will update w/ in the hour.

I noticed I think the choke was stuck open. Could have been the cause. It's electrically controlled. So just temporarily disconnected it and left it closed.

Going to rewire the choke after and see if that fixes it.

Thank you!!

Something that would cause it to over fuel or not run good would be the fuel mixture screw? How does it idle? That's interesting it's getting hydrolocked..

Fuel pump for sure---
