Fj55 blue and white Paint codes

I am at the point of trying to blend rust repair areas into existing original paint.
I have a chart showing paint codes, but the only paint shop in town is having no luck with them.
I have a 1972 blue and white and it’s the blue color That I am needing a code.
Any help is appreciated, thanks

Looks like a lighter shade of blue than what mine wears.

Look inside the fuel tank filler. That’s usually good survivor paint

The local NAPA said they can mix up code 854 and in a inexpensive single stage pint. Hopefully it’s close enough to do some blending.

Is the original vin plate still in the engine compartment on the front section of the cowel on the passenger side.

The color code is stamped on that plate

Well,

Paint code 854 was not even close. I decided to mix my 854 paint with some Vw colors, cumulus white and gulf blue.
I wasn’t in the mood to hand another $50 for a pint of paint.
Being a total amateur, it’s as close as I could get. We will see what it looks like when it’s dry and fender gets buffed.

Fits and the rust repair turned out pretty decent.
