is there an aftermarket vendor to buy stuff like tail lights, door handles etc. for a 1965 fj45lv. Seems like there are hundreds of fj45 trucks and like 45 fj45 wagons. Does a leaf spring lift kit from a fj40 also work for an fj45lv? any websites anyone recomends for fj45lv info? thanks for your time, I KNOW NOT MUCH ABOUT 45 BUT DO OK WITH THE 40 ANY HELP APPRECIATED!

the springs from a fj40 will not fit a fj45. but there are spring kits made for these trucks, one that i bought from old man emu. it was expensive (over 2000$) but looks and fits good. also if there is a spring shop nearby you they should be able to rebuild new springs modeled after the originals for like 250 a piece.

a website called cool cruisers of texas, or ccot.com sells lots of stuff, especially the small things like door handles, hinges, rubber door seals etc.

I thought that was only for the rear? as the front end was identical to 40 series.

on the rear the swb/lv are different than lpb springs or so I've been told, I don't know for certain.

yes the fronts are the same as a 40. I got my springs made by alcan spring. becasue the fronts are the same as a 40 they were easy to figure out it took a couple different sets of rear springs to get the right rear spring setup done. what sort of lift (height) are you looking to do then we can steer you in the right direction.

Sorry it took so long to get back, looking for about 4" of lift, and thank you all for the info on parts, all good to know. Well if the fronts work off a 40 I guess thats half the battle. I noticed that the pin that holds the leafs to the frame in the front look identical to my 40 but the back ones are different, I guess I could measure but I'm at work, are the 45 springs longer than the 40 or shorter?
