I am in need of rear 1963 fj45 swb driveshaft with a 2f 4spd,

will a 1978 fj45 lwb 2f 4spd have the same length in rear driveshafts?

if not what is the proper length I will need for my 63 swb 2f.

I also have a few spares from 78 2f fj40s, but obviously they need to b lengthened.

the front off the 78 will work for you. For the rear, I'd wait till you have it all installed and sleeve it. I can try and find the ID/OD driveshaft tubing for you somewhere on the computer. Gary Brandt did an article recently in the trails on sleeving a driveshaft. I ran one on my 40 for years sleeved.

I make a habit of NOT posting driveshaft lengths because I sincerely believe it is a mistake to preorder a driveshaft before YOUR install is completed. Even with powertrains that are known quantities {I have a 4 speed in my SWB] there are still variables that will lead to driveshaft remorse.

Be patient and build the rest of the truck first. Driveshafts only take a couple of days to make.

Thanks for the heads up mark. The truck is now built and I need to re install the driveshaft asap. I am not near a major city and need to know if my lwb rear driveshaft will fit into a swb 63 fj45
 
Measure Center of Flange to center of flange at rest. Measure existing driveshaft at approx center of travel. See if same.
If you can get measurements under flex that will be best. I'm guessing it's not gonna have a huge amount of flex and need anything special regarding travel in the splines of the shaft.

fwiw.. if the shaft is too long take the center to cente measuerments to a driveshaft place , drop that thing off with those measurements and they'll probably have it done next day. I get same day services most of the time around here if i take one in. they'll chuck it on a lathe, cut end off tube, shorten, reweld and spin balance. Worth the price. they normally paint em up nice as well..
 
104 inch wheelbase for SWB 45.. Dunno bout long bed 45 wheelbase.
