I have the FJ60 steering box and the Saginaw pump. It doesn't feel over-boosted at all to me. The best part of this alternative is that it eliminates several unnecessary parts of the linkage and the steering box is way back behind the tire and is protected. If you do this procedure there are a couple of things to bear in mind: The 1/2" thick steel mounting plate for the steering box needs to be drilled and tapped for the mounting bolts (grade 8 hardware), but you should also remember to drill slightly larger thru-holes through the frame in line with the mounting bolts so you don't have to use shortened bolts. Also, the Ford F250 shock tower in stock configuration isn't angled quite right, and is a bit too tall for the stock shocks to remount. On mine, the shock tower was notched with a V cut out on each side, then bent to close the notch and re-welded. The old shocks fit it perfectly.
